Good Things Take Time

We make shampoo and conditioner bars. We take our time with them. Because good things shouldn't feel complicated—and neither should taking care of yourself.

Who's Behind This

Sea Flamingo started in a Bay Area studio with a simple question: why does hair care have to be so complicated?

After years in the beauty industry, I'd seen the cycle—endless bottles, confusing ingredients, products that promised everything and delivered nothing lasting.

So I started making bars. Testing formulas. Learning what actually works versus what just sounds good on a label.

Turns out, less is more. And patience matters.

Why Bars?

A single bar can outlast 2–3 bottles of liquid shampoo. No plastic. No water weight. No spillage in your bag.

No water means higher concentration. More actives per wash, stable pH, surfactants that mellow during the cure.

Less packaging. Less waste. More performance.

One bar. Zero compromise.

Built-In Restraint

These bars cure at room temperature. Above 85°F, they don't set properly—so when summer hits, production stops.

We could climate-control our way around it. We don't.

Three drops a year. The calendar follows the weather.

LET IT CURE

It's how we make everything—and maybe how you should think about taking care of yourself.

The Literal Cure

Every bar cures for 7–14 days. This lets the pH stabilize, the texture firm up, and the surfactants mellow. Rush it, and the bar doesn't perform. We don't rush.

Hair Healing

Your hair has been through a lot—heat, chemicals, hard water, stress. These bars give it room to recover. Not overnight. Over time.

Craft Over Speed

Every batch is mixed by hand, poured with intention, and given time to become what it's supposed to be.

Intentional Self-Care

The two minutes you spend washing your hair? That's time for you. Not a chore to rush through. A small ritual worth protecting.

Patience as Resistance

In a world optimized for instant everything, waiting is an act of defiance. Every shortcut has a cost. We choose the slow path—because it's the only way to make something worth having.

What's in the Bars

Coconut. Cocoa butter. Oat. Argan oil. Jojoba oil. Panthenol. Vitamin E.

No fillers. No plastic. Minimal water.

One bar outlasts multiple bottles—and travels lighter than all of them.
